Notice Regarding Data Security Incident

At Homeland Title, LLC (“Homeland Title”), protecting the privacy of personal information is of the utmost importance.

An unauthorized individual may have obtained access to two Homeland Title employee email accounts between July 29, 2019 and August 6, 2019. We immediately initiated security protocols and launched an investigation in consultation with outside cybersecurity professionals who regularly investigate and analyze these types of situations to analyze the extent of any compromise of the email accounts and the security of the emails and attachments contained within them. We devoted considerable time and effort to determine what information was contained in the affected email accounts. Based on our comprehensive investigation and document review, we discovered that the compromised email accounts contained a limited amount of personal information, including full names and one or more of the following: Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, credit or debit card information, and/or bank account information. Not all affected individuals had each of these types of information impacted.

We have notified those potentially affected via U.S. Mail to the extent we had a last known home address. We did not have sufficient contact information to reach a small number of potentially impacted individuals. We have established a dedicated and confidential toll-free response line to address questions about the incident. If you did not receive a notice letter and you think you may be impacted, please call 855-917-3556 Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Central Time. You can also call us directly at 615-599-9959 if you would prefer.

We are committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information in our possession and have taken many precautions to safeguard it. We continually evaluate and modify our practices and internal controls to enhance the security and privacy of personal information.
